  • Louisville vs. Michigan

Michigan's hot shooting had them with a 12 point lead, especially little-used Spike Albrecht who made 6 out of 7 (and 4-4 from three) for 17 first half points. But the hot shooting of Louisville's Luke Hancock (4-4 from three, 16 first half points) pulled Louisville back into the game. I guess the best teams know you need shooters.

    Louisville 37

pretty entertaining game - lots of missed calls

but is there any doubt in anyone's mind what we need to compete - shooters....

btw - I have zero doubt that we are seeing the nation's two best teams...

saw an interview where both coaches kinda hinted they had no idea how valuable their subs (Hancock, Albrecht) were gonna be when injury (to Ware) and fouls (Trey Burke) force Hancock & Albrecht into far more minutes than the had ever had.
Add these guys to Jeremy Lin & others who were way more talented than even their own coaches gave them credit for.

It is always hard to guess when a player is going to go off. Albrecht was definitely a surprise. Hancock however averaged 22 minutes a game and was team co-captain. He was a pretty known commodity to those following big east bball.

but not even his mom would have predicted he'd get Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four.
