this afternoon's NBA game between Clippers & Lakers had a discussion by the play-by-play guys about the best FT shooters..
Steve Nash has done well enough the past two years to pull slightly ahead of Mark Price's career pct..
but I note two other things about the list of all time best...
one - of course is hard to argue - that all the best FT shooters are also very good outside shooters & 3-pt shooters - obviously their mechanics and form serve them well.
Hersey is still #23!
The other is that there is a lack of left handed shooters among the top on the list -- shouldn't a few lefties be among the top 50 or so?
Are any of the top 50 left handers?
...yes...#27 is, then #62.....could just be an extreme coincidence or there could be other factors.
In fact - here's an even harder one to hang on just coincidence - --
how many of the top 145 best FT seasons ever in all of the NBA or ABA by all players were by lefties?
#146 is a lefty (from over 40 years ago) but are there any others?..
Is this mere coincidence?
