I agree with your premise. I just happen to believe that ISU will lose both games.

The A-10 is a conference that I wouldn't mind getting some home and homes with....good for ISU to get VCU....

That's great. ISU gets to start next season 0-1. Dumb way to start a season with 11 new guys on the roster. Go get shellacked and/or home cooked at VCU which isn't even a top level BCS program.

I have been a little critical of the quality of opponents, especially the home games, and this latest home game against IPFW isn't going to change that. This will not sell any extra tickets, though it does make for another possibility for a game at the Renaissance Coliseum.-

I just figured they'd want to try and hold games on campus when the students are in town.

Scroll down to the 2013-2014 calendar. December 10 is the last day of regular classes for the first semester, with finals running until Dec. 18. So all the students should be on campus for the Dec. 10 date.

Yes - but seriously - plenty of students will avoid needless distractions during finals week - and I suspect the on-campus game will be viewed as such by many

I don't want to get into a whole "you know what they should do..." debate, but beyond free food and drinks, what would incentivize students to come to games on campus?

Could they give out book scholarships for 2nd semester? One male and one female student from each class (freshmen - seniors).
