We'll start a dedicated sticky thread about the Bradley 2013-2014 schedule to make it easier to find updates about it. Here is what is known so far-
Bradley will have home games against-
Texas-Pan Am
University of South Florida
Central Michigan University
IUPUI
2 low or mid-major teams yet to be named that will be assigned by the Las Vegas tournament Bradley will participate in
And then there is UIC - we are owed a return BracketBuster game, but several factors affect this-
-Will UIC join the MVC? If so, it is unlikely the non-conference return game will ever take place.
-Will this game be played in 2013-14 or 2014-15, since teams had 2 years to work out the return games.
-And will it be played at all since the BracketBuster has dissolved and it's possible the contracts for game might be voided.
Bradley will have away games against-
Loyola (return game for the BracketBuster game played 2/18/12)
2 pre-conference games to be played in Las Vegas as part of the Las Vegas tournament Bradley has agreed to participate in
According to Dave Reynolds, "BU is also working on getting into an exempt tournament."
That could add 1 or 2 additional home games, and an additional 1 or 2 away games. However, many of the exempt tournaments that existed a few years ago no longer exist.
The number of remaining games to be scheduled also is uncertain. If the MVC has 10 teams next year, and Bradley plays a full 18 game MVC schedule, then it appears we need to schedule 4 more games- probably 2 more home games, and 2 more road games. If the MVC plays next season with just 9 teams, Bradley will need to fill the schedule with 2 additional opponents.
