I almost had to laugh when I saw the results of these two games. I have read before that in college basketball the home court is worth 7 points for the home team compared to a neutral site. These two games are additional evidence of that statement, only one point off. On a neutral site the game would be a toss-up. George Mason should win game 3.

I agree. There are many reasons why the home team has the strong advantage, but there is no denying it is a huge advantage.
I checked the history of the CBI- This is the 6th year of the CBI, and in the championship series, the home team's overall record is 14-2.
The overall record of all CBI games in nearly 6 years of games is 70-30, with the great majority of road wins occurring in the first round (when there are more uneven matchups involving weak teams that got bids and home games mainly because of arena size).
