Ray is an East Peoria native and was a candidate when BU was hiring in 2011
He is a current Gonzaga assistant but has been head coach (Utah, North Dakota State, Eastern Washington) and was an assistant previously at ISU, WIU, and Washington.

Bill Walker, the former Minnesota assistant under Dan Monson who was just hired by Giacoletti, was fired by Jim Molinari when he took over for Monson as the interim head coach in December, 2006-
