some tweets indicate Muller also going for a few transfers...


..and I have always thought that Threloff would have been at least a "serviceable" big man at the mid-major level had he been given some playing time...his per-40 minute numbers aren't hideous...
but there were people right here on the boards that back in 2009 & 2010 said he was a BCS-caliber player....but I think he lands at an SIUE or NIU

I suspect Muller is clearing space to take in several transfers. There is no way he will use his 5 open scholarships on new recruits for next year, since there just isn't a lot of available talent left in the class of 2013. He is obviously not concerned about winning next year, and is aiming for the following years to build his team with transfers and future recruits. It is looking like ISU could be really bad next year.

Is John Jones (redshirting) going to be available next year? If not, with Threloff gone, I don't see that Muller will have anyone taller than 6'3" on the team next year.

anyway -- Muller has been to several juco events - and musta seen enough to pull the rides from all the players he has already and morph his team next year into an SIU-like mix of a bunch of juco shooting guards -

..one other possibility - an Illinois kid at Vandy where Muller came from is talented and getting virtually zero playing time...
might James Siakam be interested in stepping down a level to get some playing time?

Since he redshirted a year at ISU and played 2 seasons, he would only have 1 year of eligibility left after sitting out another year, unless he gets a waiver to play right away.

John Jones has been at ISU for two years and hasn't played yet...
but look what Chicago recruiting expert Scott Powers said about him two years ago.....based on what Sonny Parker & his associates say..

but only the prophecy on Jones is proving to be wrong - the Irvin prophecy has years to come true...Irvin is clearly saying he has a shot before it's all over of playing in the NBA - and I am hoping he will.
