Is this a plus for the Valley? Are there better teams out their? What would Oral Roberts bring to the table?

Private school, would be immediately competitive in basketball, and other sports, midwestern, medium-large city/media market, and a slightly better geographic natural rival for Wichita State than the other options.

About the only option better then that would be if STLouis doesn't join the new Big East then I would want the Bilikens

I would think St. Louis would be a natural. Cut travel expenses tremendously. Their location puts them right in the middle of all the schools.

St. Louis would truly be a natural fit. I'm old enough to remember when they were in the Valley. How about we get both ORU and Stl. and add a Horizon League team like Detroit or UW Green Bayfor balance!

If everything shakes out the way that it looks, and if SLU gets left behind by the Big East, their closest conference opponent would be in Pittsburgh, PA. That might be reason enough for them to move backward to the Valley.

The Jesuit school SLU will not get left behind. They will be in the Big E C7 the following year. Just forget about them in the Valley...It just won't happen.

The MVC will have Belmont, ORU, UWM, and Loyola, if, if, WSU leaves for better pastures. I think Tornado called this one if I remember right. Those names are starting to hit the forums and papers..

It's a significant trade down for the MVC. It's eventually OVER when the states or significant donors can provide the funds to ISU, UNI, SIU, so they can move up to FBS. That will take plenty of time though, 5 to 10 years, yet.

I'm not so sure the MVC and BU will be together in the coming years...Just my opinion.
