Wichita State beats #1 seed Gonzaga to advance to Sweet 16

I can't find complete starter information for last year's Wichita team online, but the only one I found lists 5 seniors in their starting lineup. So I think it's safe to say it's accurate.

Also, Wichita shouldn't remind anyone of Tulsa. Tulsa left completely because of football obligations and needing to go all-sports in a conference. Wichita is on a bit of an island. Their best hope is still to act as a Hawaii balancer in the MWC, but the MWC seems content (for reasons beyond my comprehension, honestly) for now.

Wichita was the team that the T.V. network did not think was good enough to show when they were playing in the MVC champioship game so they switched to another game. What network was that? oh yeah...CBS..... CBS Do you think they are good enough now?..

FWIW one of the Wichita reporters got an e-mail response from the MWC commish. This is from the 18th.

so right now it appears they're not looking, but who knows what the next few weeks will hold??

I don't know anything about whether the MWC is looking to add another school, but I suspect that if some reporter sent an email like that, even if they were, the commish would deny it. So maybe this doesn't mean anything.
