Comedian Will Ferrell is going to make a basketball related movie. "Semi-Pro" involves the expolits of the players (Andre Benjamin) and coach (Will Ferrell) of an ABA team, the Flint Michigan Tropics.
Some James Naismith memorabilia sold for lots of money at auction, including almost $72,000 just for the notes Naismith made while watching the very first basketball game, Dec. 1891.
ICC is now ranked #1 among all DII Junior colleges, and plays today at Parkland.
If anyone saw Marist play on ESPN they might have seen that Marist doesn't have a lot of talent, but they do have a really good guard named Jared Jordan. He's barely over 6 ft. and skinny but the kid can play.
Some people think this kid is good enough to play in the NBA,
but at this point, that's kind of a stretch.
And last-- a football story, the likley Heisman winner, Ohio State's Troy Smith has a few flaws in his resume.
--he once decked an opponent in high school with a sucker punch
--Smith also took $500 in cash/impermissable "extra" benefits and was given a free cell phone for use by Maurice Clarett who was also undeniably linked to tons of freebies and violations.
[b]BUT!!!! Troy Smith only got suspended for two games!! (only one in each of two seasons)
Why was he not suspended the same number of games Will Franklin was suspended?
