I was lucky enough to be back in Peoria tonight and really enjoyed going to the game. Great team effort with some great shooting. WE showed up to play tonight! Frustrating seeing Timmons take us to the hoop every time cuz our guys weren't staying down on D but we still overcame.
Anyone else convinced Tulane still pulled a switcharoo late in the second half on the free throw after the time out despite the refs review?
this is a 3rd tier tourney - one in which the Valley has done well in the past because a lot of opponents are also not good...
Tulane finished 9th in a 12-team league, tied with Marshall (13-19)!
I think it is great to get to play more games & win...
but getting back to the game - again our guys played hard and played well - and Will & our post players had good games - in fact we fed down to the low post right off the bat - each of the first 3 possessions, and scored on all three...and continued to do it the rest of the game - something that oddly we had not done much all year.
We had 22 assists as a team and Walt & DSE each had 6...anyone who watched that game certainly all the blue & gray hairs sitting by me all noticed that we did what we have failed to do much all year long - and OMG it worked!!! I have been saying all year we need to do it more instead of just jacking threes...
Crowd was loud - seemed bigger than Wednesday although the announced attendance is almost identical.

Seems like 3 years ago you didn't think this was a third level tournament when we played in it. Unlike then the program is on the up versus the last time we played in it and the program was on a down swing.
it was then and is now - same thing - but I have supported my team every time and don't constantly look for things to criticize them for as many do
as I have said since last year - the top two teams in the Valley are good - everyone else belongs in the CIT - time seems to be proving me right
Those who claimed the Valley was going to get 4 teams in the NCAA Tourney were the ones who judged poorly
Getting back to the game - Ka'Darryl played a lot and played well especially on defense... Jalen gave some great minutes
Go Braves - let's win at UNI
