Here's the full CBI bracket - no Valley teams - no ISU

Illinois State refuses to play in the CBI or CIT. By losing 5 of their last 7 games, ISU decided that their season was too disappointing to continue playing in a "lower-tier tourney".
I think it might have been a good way to showcase a couple of their seniors who clearly have pro aspirations, Jackie Carmichael and Tyler Brown. But first year coach Dan Muller decided otherwise.-

UNI had an RPI of 83. That is better than 11 of the 32 teams included in the NIT. 8 teams were winners of their conference regular season, so they were guaranteed bids regardless of how poor their RPI was.
But there were 4 other teams that got at-large bids that had worse RPI's than UNI-
Florida State- RPI 84
Washington- RPI 89
Providence- RPI 90
St. John's- RPI 96
And St. Joseph's got a bid with an RPI of 82, only 1 place better than UNI, yet their SOS is much lower than UNI's.
It could be argued that UNI should have been included ahead of a couple of those teams, but especially St. John's, who lost 7 of their last 8 games, and very few quality wins.
