Evansville is still quite hopeful of an NIT bid - but will need to wait 'til tonight to find out.
In the meantime they have already been assured by both the CIT & CBI of a home game should the NIT spurn them..
A couple more notes...
Chicago State won the "Great West Conference" tournament - which is NOT assured of an automatic NCAA bid -
but they get a CIT automatic bid and are said to be going to play at UIC
note- a whole lot of ISU cast-offs have had fine post-seasons!!
Jeremy Robinson was Chicago State's leader, and was All Conference
Kellen Thornton had a double-double in leading Tennessee State to the post-season
Terry Johnson was Oklahoma City University's best player in leading them to their National Tourney run..
Kenyon Smith started every game for #15 ranked University of Southern Indiana (23-7) & they are still alive in the DII NCAA Tourney
Darious Clark was run out last spring and transferred to Slippery Rock (DII) and was one of their best 2 players & they pulled an upset & are still alive in the DII NCAA Tourney
Kyle Miklasz started every game and was a key player for DII Roosevelt
Trey Blue went to Vermont, became a starter, and was also one of their key players and just missed getting his team to the NCAA
Justin Clark finished out his career at NW Missouri helping his team to a 2012 record of 22-7
