My thoughts on where were at by sport:
Programs improving, very close to or at .500.
Mbb,wbb, softball, ladies xc, womens track, womens golf.

Consistently very good to good: mens soccer

Work to do: mens xc, mens golf

    Concerned with: bball, volleyball

Incomplete: tennis- not fully athletically funded at Bu. Mens track - just restarted - distance only.

Sounds like its going to be made official tomorrow. The official Creighton twitter saying there is a "special announcement" tomorrow at 10 with the public invited. I guess it could be other things, but my big guess is the official announcement.

Yes, Shocker Nation has been salivating about this on their message board daily. I read there that their AD is quite proactive. I suspect they would love to be the #12 playing basketball in the MWC. Hey, who can blame them. They have done their time in the MVC and in nearly all sports are stellar!!!!

This is the suspected 2nd shoe to drop for the MVC, if it happens. Really, its more like an anvil dropping than a shoe. When you combine Creighton and a potential WSU departure, this is the tradedy that the MVC was unprepared for.

Losing your 2 best teams in the Valley causes BU to rethink its affiliation. Just Watch..

                And No:

The Additions to 12: Belmont, Loyola, UWM, Western Ill, SIUE, Murray State, W. Kentucky, and just keep on coming up with Elgin's names...

Will never match the Losts Going through the Years:

Memphis, Cincy, Louisville, SLU, Creighton, and WSU(?) (add in more stars that have left if you like)

Butler averages over 23 wins per year over 20 seasons.

Of course the 26 NCAA tournament games this century is probably the biggest reason, but its been a long time in the making.

The Valley should add FIU. and FGCU, and then we could have a great road trip once a year.

I really hope Bradley ends up in the A10. I can't see any other outcome that isn't decidedly bad news.

They are quitting a conference that gets 1 or maybe 2 bids now that the marquee teams have left - and headed to a conference that gets 4, 5, or 6...
"CAA schools continue to be attractive to other leagues.."

The CAA has lost Richmond, American U., East Carolina, VCU, Old Dominion, and now George Mason in recent years...

so is the MVC going to be the next fertile grounds for conference-scarfing???
