Freshman Micah Mason has reportedly said he will leave and transfer elsewhere
..he's a part time starter, played PG & hit 51% from 3-pt range!! (40-79)

Interesting that he would leave before there is any indication of who a new coach would be.

I wonder if Drake is going to pony up for their next coach. From what has been floating around it doesn't look like Phelps was close at all to the price range of the top of the Valley.

Mason leaving had nothing to do with the coaching change. There were health and family issues that made him decide he needed to be closer to his home in Pittsburgh.

Micah Mason transferred from Drake to Duquesne supposedly due to health issues - but he has still not heard from NCAA regarding waiver that he wants to play right away
