I don't believe Geno makes quite that, and I doubt we have a private plane, but I think this really highlights our strength over the rest of the league (and other mid-majors) other than Creighton/WSU. Also, while we can debate whether or not Geno is "worth" his salary, it is very important that we pay a coach like we do, imo. If Geno proves not worth it, the odds are the next guy will be.

I really hope we can work ourselves into the A10 with a few traveling partners, to make sure we stay right on this cusp with a chance to eventually raise profile and pull through.

I agree with a lot of this... I still think we are a mid major (to even pretend we have the resources of even a Northwestern is laughable) , but we do have lots of advantages over most MVC teams - Practice Facilities, Great Arena, high paid coach, etc. (the team even travels on private planes, though the coaches don't always when recruiting). Over the long term, we should be regularly near the top of the MVC.

Yep, the private plane is most important for recruiting, especially for the head coach during AAU ball and quick trips during the season.

I agree we are still in the mid-major category, but I think this highlights why we should be at an advantage to others in the league (even if they can offer more majors or extra-curricular activities).

Private Plane - no, but they fly private charters out of Byerly Aviation
7,000 per game - check
Coach Salary $800K+ - no, but I've heard it's in the $750K range

I dont like the term ..mid-major...I think that is a term the so called big boys made up to separate themselves from everyone else.
