  • Canadian National Championship

Their equivalent of the NCAA Finals - the CIS Finals - and since many schools have played exhibitions against the Canadian schools - many of the names are familiar...

But - Carleton wins in a final game rout 92-42! (Carleton beat ISU on their preseason exhibition tour in 2011)
Lakehead are runnerups, Ottawa finishes 3rd, Acadia 4th.
The Carleton Ravens cruised to their record-breaking ninth Canadian Interuniversity Sport men's basketball championship, defeating the Lakehead Thunderwolves 92-42 in Ottawa.

BTW - one Canadian College is now an NCAA D-II institution - Simon Fraser University

There are, as of now, no other Canadian schools applying for NCAA membership..
but there are four new changes in D-I starting NEXT FALL........with 4 current D-II schools beginning their reclassification...
All four begin their reclassification this fall in 2013-2014 and complete the transition 2017-2018..

    Abilene Christian University
    Grand Canyon University
    University of the Incarnate Word
    University of Massachusetts - Lowell
