First kid to sign? Here's a vote for Swopshire. Just a guess.

      I'm going with Chris Blake.

I have a feeling Swopshire will hold out as long as he can looking for a higer level offer.

who doesn't ....anyway those guys like Blake & Delaney are still playing in their National Tournament - I cannot imagine they will distract themselves and distract away from their team by focusing on recruiting or committing and announcing any time soon.......

I believe every season for at least the past decade we've had one or more "unexpected" departures of players already on the roster...
so assuming that it's possible this year could follow the same pattern...then could we have MORE than two scholarships to give away between now & fall?
If so - then maybe wait to see who leaves elsewhere and take another D-I transfer??

Good thought. We've also seen recruits drop in from out of the blue. As for possible departures, I can only think of 2 possibilities....a big and a small.

I can think of 4, and I think 2 is very likely.

I certainly hope one of them is not Bell. He's got a lot of upside. With Grier and Fields coming into play next season though, he may only get 10-15 mpg.

I don't see anyone considering leaving except maybe SS.

my source has also seen SZ play with the team and he said that he was a great shooter, but probably wouldn't be ready to start his freshman year but should get time

I would hope we can get multiple signings on April 17 as it makes things a lot easier plus it means the said recruit is 100% committed.

It is difficult for a freshman to come in right away and be a major player. I am happy if they are able to help after a year or two

                            speaking of this....

when was the last time we had a freshman start or make significant contributions?

                            Seth Tuttle (last year)
                            Edigidusdsidsd MOckefevkivaius
                            Matt Bohannon
                            Gavin Thurman
                            Anthony Beane Jr.
                            Marcus Marshall
                            Fred van Vleet
                            DJ Balentine
                            Kaza Keane (sp)
                            Joey King
                            Micah Mason

All these players contributed more than Bell did this year...not a knock on Bell, but these kids played major roles on better teams than us.
