The Fox article is yet another example of how a Coachs' poll just no longer works, if it ever did.
Bob Davie, former Notre Dame Head Football Coach and currently an analyst for ABC/ESPN, was on ESPN radio in Dallas this week and said the Coachs' poll for football is a failed exercise due to the numerous built-in biases when cassting a vote and that coachs do not have the time to fully know the teams that they do not directly play - i.e., coachs are not in a postion to do a knowledgeable ranking even if they were objective, which they aren't. The same argument can be made for a coach's poll in basketball. We need to turn the polls over to the mathematicians and their computer rankings.

(but NOT just fans - as an example, there would be a million numb-nuts voting for Kentucky to be #1 every year all year long or something of the sort)
