here's an obscure blog writer who gives the Summit Coach of the Year to the head coach of the 6th place team, Omaha, claiming that since they came in 3 places higher than predicted - he did a better job..even tho they are way under .500 and going nowhere.

the only problem with the logic here is that WIU finished 1st - 7 places higher than predicted and the guy writes his own blog for his own hometown favorite team, the Omaha Mavericks...so I'd say his opinion might just be a little weak & biased.
