A little disappointing WL didn't make first team, but at least there's next year for Walt. Tough to argue with the talent ahead of him.

yeah - can't argue with any of the selections but had we finished a bit stronger & stayed out of Thursday I have to think Walt then gets 1st team

The only other point to pick was that for All League spots - they should utilize only the MVP stats..

If they do then Cleanthony Early's scoring is are 15.2 ppg, Walt's is 17.1 ppg - quite a substantial difference..

Good to see that some of our players hard work has been rewarded, and I agree in that the only stats that should count are the ones of the Valley games only.

So WSU is defensive team of the year? But Bradley has 2 players on the all-defensive team and WSU has none? Either our other guys are completely awful, or this is really bazaar.

Before the season started, if you had told me that both of our starting guards would be All-Defensive team, I wouldn't have believed you. Last year's backcourt D was incredibly porous and DSE has trouble keeping up with most of his defensive assignments.

The improvement during the off-season was incredible, and is a credit to the coaching staff and dedication from the players. Hopefully is a sign of great things to come in terms of off-season development.

Well, you're probably right in that their team's finish in the standings probably influences which Valley team they make. Still congrats to all the Braves who were mentioned!

I also offer my congrats to all the kids who made the All Conference teams...
they and their families should be very proud...I'd love to see some interviews with the parents of the kids...they must be very proud...

those names on the various All Valley awards are the best of the best - the most talented in the VALLEY...

it stands to reason that if you count the number of honorees, that
Wichita State & Creighton got the most names on the lists...
                  SIX EACH

and of course the teams at the bottom of the Valley - the worst teams got the fewest...Drake just two, SIU 3, ...

And the other teams fall in between...except for one.........

BRADLEY has the 2nd most players named - BU has FIVE (Walt on 2nd Team & All Def., DSE as Def. POY & on the All Def team, and Tyshon..
..and NO other team has five - only two even have four...

So how can that be?? How can be among the leaders in the number of players getting All Conference honors & recognition and still ...
we have fans who claim we have no talent?

As an update - with only one award yet to be handed out - that being Coach of the Year - here are the totals of how many individual awards were grabbed by each team in the Valley

                      Bradley 7
                      Creighton 8
                      Drake 2
                      Evansville 5
                      Illinois St. 4
                      Indiana St. 2
                      Missouri St. 4
                      UNI 2
                      SIU 4
                      Wichita St. 7

...pretty impressive - our guys got as many or more honors as every team in the MVC except Creighton - but I anticipate Gregg Marshall is likely the COY so that will move WSU slightly above Bradley.

Again - this is PURE vindication & proof that we have quality guys in our lineup!
