This year's BU team poll

The problem is that the thousands of fans who have bailed on Bradley aren't around to vote
anymore.
And for the record, I think most of those fans will come as our team gets better. Bradley's attendance still ranks third in the Valley even in a down year.

For the record- the team is better- than last year. Everyone can see that. The only person who voted otherwise admits he made a mistake. Lake Camelot said it best in the 2nd post.
My point is that many of those who believed winning records, 21 and 22 win seasons, tougher schedules, good academics, clean program, etc. were not good, now seem satisfied with 9th seed and a .500 record against the worst schedule in modern history.

And as far as I know, we still have good academics and a clean program...Is BU better than last year, I think most would find it hard to say no, as we have more wins, seem to have more backbone and heart.
Are we happy just being the 9th seed? Of course not...
Too much nit-picking diminishes our fandom IMO and isn't very constructive. Let's just say that people believe what they want to believe, and leave it at that... It is not my place to judge right or wrong???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

It appears that sooner, rather than later, we may be back to our previous level and will hopefully exceed the previous level under Geno's proven leadership. That was the whole reason a change was wanted by many and made by the BU Administration... The goal was to win MVC Championships and get back to a major post season tournament.Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Would they have been better this year? Probably, but Pickett helped a lot.
Did Geno Ford inherit one of the worst rosters in Bradley history, yes.
Is 7-11 in the MVC and being a team that is between 150 - 200 in college basketball an acceptable season for Bradley in the grand scheme of things? No.
Is it acceptable for a second year given what was inherited and improvement of a couple players? Yes.
Will the same people who were not satisfied with Les be satisfied with Geno if these are the results we have in 2 years? No.
Did some fans leave because of the coaching change? Yes.
Would some fans have left anyway? Probably
Are there some fans happy about the direction who may have left if there hadn't been a change? Probably.
Is there benefit to the University or Program by being negative about the improvement because of what might have happened in a mythical parallel universe? No.
Will there be plenty of time in two years to tell people "I told you so" when there are enough facts about the new staff if it doesn't continue to improve? Yes.
But, hey, I'm a newbie here, so feel free to discuss as you wish.

In a strange way I admire someone willing to post a vote that way at this point. If they actually feel that way. Maybe they feel the schedule was too easy.
I personally don't think it is even close. But at least they are willing to say they still feel we were the same or maybe unless we win the Valley it is still the same to them. I am not sure.
