If he's a supporter of the team, he sure has a funny way of showing it. I have yet to see a positive post from him. He's constantly ripping on Geno and the administration, which I thought was against the Board Rules here. Guess I must have missed the latest revision.

I'm not happy about losing and playing on Thursday...but I am not disenchanted. I think this program is headed in the right direction under Geno's leadership, despite what you and the other naysayers would have us believe.

And quit bemoaning the fact that players like Abell, Brown and Hawkins are not here playing for BU. The only one who had signed an LOI with BU was Abell, and there were plenty of rumors that he was looking for way out of it. Brown and Hawkins were never coming to BU. We should just trust you to say that they were? Really???

I fully expect Geno to recruit players better than we had, and to continue to make progress toward the ultimate goal of competing for and winning MVC championships!

You are entitled to that opinion. I have it from several sources that I believe to be accurate that Brown was a solid verbal commit, Hawkins would have only considered going where JL was coaching, and Abell never wavered until his coach was fired. I am not bemoaning their loss, just refuting the ridiculous rationalizations we now are hearing that the cupboard was bare.
All of us want to see this team turn around and win, but for fans to rip the very players that are contributing the most to this team is absurd.

I heard that Lemon was gone if Les was around, Hawkins didn't want to go where his dad went, and that Abell wasn't as solid. Hard to tell. That Les would hook Brown up with isu bothers me.

I second that. I guess he's entitled to whatever, but other posters who criticize some things and are positive about other things are looked down on and get blasted. I don't personally know anyone on here, but this guy stands out as a bad seed for the good of the BU fanbase. He may "tell things like it is", but he's pretty straightforward about his disdain for certain people, and if he said the same things about a former coach on here, he might be permanently banned.
Anyways, don't think he deserved to be reprimanded, but I find it hard to swallow that some are sticking up for him from the comments he makes and believes he is a supporter of the team...ridiculous!

The Hawkins rumor has been confused. Older son Brandon didn't want to play at Bradley. That was never true with Corey. He would have come to Bradley out of high school, except Arizona State came in late and offered. And I do not think the Walt Lemon rumor is true, either. Jim is close friends with Loren Jackson (Walt's high school coach), who remains one of Walt's trusted advisers.

Our current players are all being asked to play a system they had never seen before and for a coach who didn't recruit them - this is always a tough situation and NOBODY's fault but obvious fallout of massive changes...
...all I have ever said - that those people (fans, columnists, and others who are responsible) who demanded the changes despite the warnings that we'd have several years of losing teams before getting back to any level of success - even the level everyone panned (fourth place and EIEIO Tourneys)...then they have what they wanted and as expected they don't like it and will try like he** to find someone else to deflect blame - no matter how irrational it gets.

I can't believe that any decisions have been made in spite of your warnings.

funny - I wouldn't expert anyone to listen to me...but then that's a point I made earlier - every fan should be treated as if he & his opinion are worthwhile....worthy of being listened to...
...but nobody seems to care that fans had some strong opinions about the terribly weak schedule, the huge 20-30 point bad losses - the multiple games where we prove we can play with our opponents then get blown out by 20 in the other half...

If we are really lacking talent that badly as the PJS wants us to believe - then how do we hang with them for half the game all the time??

And we're supposed to totally discount any wins in a weakling EIEIO tournament in the past - but we're supposed to be awestruck when we get 8 wins against the likes of EIU, UTPA, MVSU, Ga Southern and all those other 345+ RPI non-con slate...

We haven't seen 2 of the players he brought in. I've heard they can both play.

I'm getting older but correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't EIU beat us two years ago. Can only assume that didn't go over very well with the people who hire and fire. Just a thought.

By fan 9 is a supporter of the team. Just not a fan of losing and Thursday humiliation. Lots of fans have become disenchanted. This was by far the smallest contingent of Bradley fans I have ever seen down here in St. Louis, and most were very unhappy about last night. We are losing a lot of solid fan support and donations. We need to right the ship. We can't make excuses about 3 or 4 more years.

There are a lot of people still willing to support this program at a very high financial level. These folks are also very supportive of the university and administration. I had the good fortune of having dinner with several of them last night.

I could buy that if it was always the 2nd half or OT we get beat - but often it's the first half we get blown away -then we catch up despite depth issue....
