He is staying at Creighton...
but I am kinda shocked that Gary Parrish of CBS Sports makes it soundlike the single deciding factor was that he's gonna stay because ...he's already rich....when not one thing Doug McDermott said in his press conference even hinted that was any part of his reasoning!!
"...McDermott's father is quite literally a millionaire -- he makes more than
that annually as Creighton's coach -- so it's not like McDermott is one of
the many student-athletes who feels compelled to turn pro to change his
lifestyle or relieve a family from a cycle of poverty.... the money isn't
needed immediately. So he can afford to delay the millions that will come
his way, and, yes, millions will eventually come his way regardless because
he's tall and he can shoot.."

couple other stories on Creighton & the new Big East
-first there's a lot of people saying Creighton should be the favorite to win it...even with the loss of a few key players.....
I guess we'll see.......
-and the AD of Seton Hall is saying two more teams will be added.....top candidates are ...SLU, Dayton, VCU, Richmond...not all private & not all not all Catholic...Comment

Now that Doug McDermott is staying in college - we will have to wait to see if the Valley gets anyone else drafter...
I have to think someone will take a chance of Jackie Carmichael maybe late 1st Rd....to ...mid 2nd...
but this story show poor old Jackie & ISU just get no respect...they don't even know what school he's from
...but they have this line about the MVC...
"Right now the biggest thing going against Carmichael is the conference he played in."Comment
