New pro basketball league starts in April, and includes Peoria franchise

The Central Basketball League is a new professional league that will have their inaugural season this year, starting in April.
The Peoria franchise is the Peoria Panthers, and their new head coach was just named- he is longtime Manual High School Assistant Coach David Williams-

Hmmm... I guess they can call their league whatever they want. I meant more from the perspective of the players. Will they earn an income that allows them to only play basketball, or will they need have other jobs too?

I wish we would have heard more but the CBL just didn't get much coverage..

as it turned out the River City Panthers made a run but got knocked out of the playoffs just short of the Finals..

The finals were between the Nashville Hornets and the St. Louis Hawks - with the Hawks taking the title led by ex-SLU Billiken Dwayne Polk & ex-WKU Hilltopper Boris Siakam

DeMarco Polk was the league's MVP

Polk also won the award for the league's scoring title which is named after ex-Bradley Brave Levern Tart..
