I'm going to drink the Kool-aid and say we can win this. We are hungry and know what is at stake. I'm not local but I expect all of you that are to be at this game and scream so loud that I can hear it on the east coast. If we win you will certainly hear me!

To stay out of foul trouble ... ... ...

Surely we have some pull in who we get screwed in to having as ball court police and not be stuck with the likes of hightower, sanchez, the gray haired peon or any other of these s*** for brains refs who have as much bias against us as humanly possible. Keep these s*** for brains thieves OUT OF THE CIVIC CENTER!!!!! Then we have a very good chance of winning as the quality of the game being played will determine the winner and not the aforementioned numbskull con artists. Plain and simple.
There has got to be some place we can go to have fun!

I can't think of any games this year that I would blame the refs for........very few of our conference losses were all that close

I completely disagree with this statement. There has been some very suspect officiating in not only losses but wins as well. The Wichita St. home game, SIU home game, UNI home game, and Drake road loss come to mind very quickly..

There is a difference between thinking the officiating was poor, and blaming the officials for the loss.

Agreed. Most times you have no one to blame but yourself for a loss. As an example, had we done our job against Drake the officiating would never have been an issue... You reap what you sow...

When I was in high school years ago any game my school team got beat we always blamed the officials. As I got older I outgrew it.

                          lololol

a good example would be UIC Bradley....

if I were a die hard Flames fan I would cite.... the "ghost foul" on Walt Lemon and then of course the shot clock....

wish that a Valley game and not a stupid game

This game is probably among the Top 3 games of importance this season, and maybe the 2nd highest on the list for BU players to want to win.

                            Why?

Keeps an outside chance to stay out of Thursday night alive.

Would be great to win on senior night (as it always is) especially for the guys who have never experienced much success on the Hilltop.

Moves our home record to 7-2 in the Valley, which is respectable even in a season when we finish in the top half of the league.

We finish above .500 for the first time since the 2008-'09 season.

                            Some lesser implications:

More consideration for Lemon and DSE for All-Valley teams.

I want to boast that we beat D. McDermott more than he beat us at home, and that we knocked Creighton out of contention for the Valley title!

I had heard some speculation that with Gibbs (5pts) & Chatman (2pts & 0-7) having such bad games last outing,
and BOTH playing under their usual minute total...
that maybe one or both were nursing injuries - but there's nothing official
