Then on the inbounds - EMU fouls Downing and he makes 1 of 2 for a 5 pt lead...

OMG - Marcus Marshall makes 2 FT with 4 sec left but the drame is nOT OVER!!!

Missouri State has a 5-pt lead, 57-52 with only 4 sec to play and Missouri State's freshman PG Marcus Marshall commits a silly personal foul then get's "T'ed" up by the ref!

So EMU makes 2 FT then gets the ball back to try for a three with 4 seconds!!!!

Then Marshall fouls again on the inbounds as part of the plan to prevent EMU from shooting the three
..but they should have never had the chance to be within 3 if not for the silly foul & T

wow - EMU misses their FT and immediately fouls but Scheer MISSES both ends of a 2-shot FT opportunity but MSU gets the rebound again!!!

what a weird ending - so the game ends 57-54...and Missouri State is lucky their mistakes didn't cost them dearly...

The foul & technical for swinging his elbow at the EMU player during a dead ball - game EMU the chance to erase a 5 pt deficit in the final 4 seconds...but EMU couldn't take advantage.

St. Mary's has perfectly executed the game plan where they isolate Echenique on a screen and switch and force him to cover a guard and he simply can't do it...
then on defense they have bothered McDermott sufficiently and forced anyone else on the Bluejays to beat them - and nobody else has stepped up.

MVC is now 7-2 and could go to 8-2 with ISUR win! Great job MVC....
Even the two losses, CU and UNI, were respectable....although would have
been great for UNI to hold home court....
