    I did see this....

However in the late stages of the game when Bradley abandoned its offensive game plan and allowed its guards the freedom to penetrate, UIC found it couldn??™t match the Braves??™ athleticism.

So we made in game adjustments and found a way to steal a W

I assumed you were exaggerating. But that is pretty much what it says. Except for the Geno Ford calling plays part.

Not what I saw. I personally feel it is a pretty poor recap.

I think it's time for certain of our fans here and on other boards to stop trashing our kids - as they have more talent than they're being given credit for..

Hard hitting news. They may be affiliated with Fox News. I love that skit on SNL

I was able to find it in that article.

UIC led by nine with 5:29 left, prompting Bradley coach Geno Ford to virtually stop calling plays from the bench.

From that point the Braves??™ back court combination of Walt Lemon Jr. and Dyricus Simms-Edwards took over the game. The duo was able to get to the basket with ease, combining to score 28 second-half points.

OK, my fault I didn't see that. Now I really think it is a poor recap.

You just have to cut and paste it right....

We have some kids with talent. An excellent backcourt. But as far as deep talent compared to other teams. Not so much.

Exactly LC. And since when did anyone expect Chicago media to be objective about a team NOT in Chicago. To me, the key to the game game was when Bradley made the adjustment to go into a zone. UIC was unable to adjust and BU came from behind for the win. If you want to say that BU abandoned its game plan and turned their guards loose that's fine to. You can only watch your bigs fail and get dominated for so long before making the adjustment that gives your team its best chance at victory.

but I am thrilled with the hard work and success we have had - we still have the chance to finish well - and with our short bench we must stay out of foul trouble..

That stuff that was called today was NOT Tyshon, Walt's, & Will's fault - some of those fouls were terrible

                                Thoughts -

                                - Fun for us Chicago alums to get to see a game ... I know those in Peoria may not care, but a lot of us really look forward to every time we play in Chicago. I wish it were a guarantee on the schedule for one game every single season.
                                - I appreciate the gritty nature of the team. There were numerous stretches where UIC could have taken control going up 9-11 points. But we never let that happen and used our defense to get back in it.
                                - How has nobody mentioned the mascot/kids challenge at halftime? It's one of the best halftime shows I've seen in awhile. They used to do this at DePaul games way back (though it was all mascots then) and when I saw all these random mascots milling around in the first half, I knew it was coming. Very entertaining and those kids were really good players, too!
                                - Funny how the only time the UIC fans seemed to get excited was when there were free t-shirts/pizza being given away. I know people get disgruntled about the attendance in Peoria, but when you go to games at UIC/Loyola/etc., you can really appreciate how good it is in Peoria and how knowledgeable the fans are.
                                Go Braves!
