  • Use of Replay

Geno quoted in this nice column by the Creighton writer on this relevant topic of the use of replay...

Geno does not like the use of replay and apparently thinks it should be abandoned even in all other sports.
..he notes that even tho they used replay in the Wichita-ISU game they still got the call wrong in many people's eyes...

also the other MVC coaches are interviewed and what McDermott says is mostly how I feel -- that even the minimal, unintentional contact above the shoulders is now being reviewed all the time and occasionally even being ruled a FLAGRANT 1...

Whether or not the replay was used, ... ... ...

Had the call instead been for an isu - Bradley game in these exactingly same circumstances, Bradley would have been called for blocking. Hhhhmmmm. Had it been a home game for Bradley and it was any BU player coming away with the rebound, naturally, a flagrant charge. These mvc refs are all too predictable. Entirely. Would have been fun to hear I can't shut my mouth herzog's reaction.
There has got to be some place we can go to have fun!

It will be interesting if the call itself or the somewhat negative publicity surrounding the call as it related to Carmichael - will affect his play or his aggressiveness.....

Look at what I said six hours ago here in this column .....

Already in tonight's game it has come to realization. Why in GOD's name do we stay in this league????? Ahead by five with under thirty seconds to go and some how we lose this f'ing game. Oh look!!! Another intentional foul with fifty - three seconds to go. They get four foul shots AND the ball. EVERY F'ING YEAR. HOW DO THE REST OF YOU MANAGE TO TOLERATE ALL OF THIS STINKING BULLSH**????? As bad as the curse on the hapless Cubs.

For the record, I am in complete support of replaying the final 20 seconds of tonight's game.
