Coaches and ADs from the 10 schools get to vote on the Coach of the Year.

Maybe the fact (well, just a hunch) that Geno is the more likeable guy around the Valley will have some bearing.
Still, Geno will likely have to win 9 games to get considered.

Remember, injuries shouldn't make a difference in how a team plays.

If Geno could have taught Will and Pickett not to foul so much he would have deserved to be the COY

why did we do the offense/defense subs for TP & Will in only the final couple minutes??
We maybe shoulda started doing it at 5-6 minutes...it didn't hurt that much when we were doing it as both we rested and energetic and got great steals & dunks when they came in...

My guess is because they are much better on both ends of the floor. When JP is in we had to double the post, leading to open 3s.

well, Snell & Kleine both thought JP played a good game defensively - who does Drake have that's superior to the players we have on the floor?

I thought Clarke and Simmons played better than Prosser and SS by quite a bit. TP and Will played well at times, but fouled way too much and made terrible decisions down the stretch. I think we are a better team, but lost the game.

To give Drake credit they hit their shots at the end and made the plays they had to.

they must have seen a different game than I did........I thought our whole team played pretty poorly on the defensive end

I just don't see better players on their squad - that's why they are in 9th place - we didn't get beat by a better team we gave this one away.

Unfortunately, Walt may slip to 2nd team and Dyricus to hon. mention unless Braves find a way to win their last 2 league games.

Can't disagree with that. But Drake made the plays when they needed to, and we didn't. We still play afraid on the road. I think that's the biggest factor. But remember we made big comebacks against some teams at home this year, so it happens to everyone from time to time. It just shouldn't happen against a 9th place team, even on the road.
