9-0 run by ISU as they are up 11-5 with 10 to go in the first half.

Wichita State better hope the members of the NCAA selection committee aren't watching this game or their at-large chances will take a big hit. They look awful. The Shockers are 2-16 (12.5%) shooting, 0-7 from three, have 8 turnovers so far, and have scored just 5 points in the first 12+ minutes of the game.
Illlinois State has scored the last 15 points to take a 17-5 lead with 7:34 left.

Wichita State climbed back into this game a little and trails ISU 27-20 at the half. Both teams shooting poorly, and a ton of turnovers and fouls.

ISU's top 2 players are having a poor shooting game- Carmichael is 1-7, and Tyler Brown is 0-6. ISU shooting 24% and WSU 31%.

ISU just pulled out to a 38-27 lead with a couple baskets off steals.
These announcers have mentioned ISU's 0-6 start in the MVC now at least 30 times. Someone needs to tell them to try a different story line- that one has been beaten to death.

I'm certainly not an ISU fan, but IMO, their 0-6 start followed by what they have accomplished since then is very noteworthy.

In one of the strangest finishes I've seen this year, WSU has the ball, down 2 with :15 left. There was a video review that resulted in a flagrant 1 on Jackie Carmichel, and WSU converted 2 FTs and quickly hit a 3 to turn a 7 pt ISU lead to 2 pts. Crowd is livid.

Wichita State scores 8 points in the last 36 seconds to win 68-67 and retain sole possession of 1st. Tough loss for ISU, but there were some big mistakes made to let this one slip away.

Wichita comes from 14 down to win 68-67. Wow. ISU blew it and are now tied with BU and Evansville at 7-8. Cleathony Early hit two 3's in the last 20 seconds including the game winner at 4.8 to win it. Carmichael missed a 5 footer at the buzzer that had a lot of contact. He got called for a flagarent foul with under a minute to go for kicking a WSU while he was in the middle of rebounding a missed shot. Never seen that one called before but this is the Missouri Valley we're talking about. Wichita has only lost 5 games, I think, on the road the last 3 years, the 3rd best record in the nation.
