No, he really is terrible.mhe almost looks like he decides calls before the play even happen.

We made our best run when WL was on the bench and DSE and KB were running the offense. WL as good as a offensive fire power he is I still do not like him running our O. Can't wait until we get a PG and move him off the ball.

Pollard called some real bad ones today against us but the real difference in this game was how we kept getting the ball into the paint. My favorite play of the game besides KB's steal of the rolling inbound ball was when TP had the ball in the paint, was doubled up and found KB on the weak-side wide open for a huge uncontested 3.

That's called anticipation and in officiating that is a no no. That will get you in trouble faster than most mistakes. Pollard not one of my favorites but he is better than Kip Kissinger IMO.

I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Dy and Ty are 2 of the toughest kids in the Valley.

                  No doubt!

And I'm seeing the toughness in Bell as well. I am really high on this kid and think he will be solid for BU the next 3 years!

I think he gives us more than Crawford.

Crawford reminds me of what some call a "rec league chucker".

Like I said before...JC was 6-12 the last 4 games before last Saturday....and while I feel he could be more patient on offense I still feel he can bring some offense at times when others aren't shooting well. He doesn't seem to play defense as well as Bell but hopefully he'll work on it and improve there.

Who out of the two has a bigger upside? I'll tell you this the first half of play Bell looked like a freshman. He has to work on his passing game. He does have a knack in getting the ball through the hoop. If he can slow it down a bit and limit turnovers he'll be an asset. JC on the other hand has a bigger ceiling. He's bigger and more athletic then Bell. If he works hard this summer in the gym and starts to let the game come to him he could be a very good Valley player.

Both these guys have potential, and both have not really met fans' expectations...yet.

I like Bell's confidence - he doesn't get rattled after a mistake like Crawford seems to, and attacks the rim and takes contact.
He is a good ball-handler, and just needs to make smarter decisions in passing around the perimeter. He's just a freshman, but he's got the tools to being a D. Ruffin-type player, minus the speed burst. Just watch.
The problem, as has been alluded to by DC I think, is that he will spend a lot of time at the 2, and there will be much competition for that spot next season. But I also think he can spell Field for 5-8 min. per game at the 1, and move Walt to the 2 permanently.

Crawford has a nice-looking shot from outside, but he is a rhythm shooter - he may be thinking that if he misses a couple in a row, he may see the bench - not sure if that's why he's inconsistent.

It's exciting to think that if these 2 guys can improve over the off-season and provide quality minutes off the bench next year, we will have much depth at the guard spot:

                            Fields, Bell
                            Grier, Crawford, Lemon
(not to mention our freshmen newcomers - I kind of hope that 1 of them red-shirts next season to develop and get more P.T. in the years to come, as next year, minutes may be hard to come by)

Not about to bring up our bigs, but we really need one to come in and contribute next year to increase our chances of improving upon this season.
