  • Drake at Evansville

Drake lead much of the game at Evansville, but Evansville just tied the game at 66-66 on a late 3-point shot by Colt Ryan. Drake had 1 last shot to win, but missed, and the game is going to overtime. Ryan has 23, and Ben Simons has 27 for Drake.

Way to blow it drake! *&*&^%^%$#$#@!

DU had 2 point lead and the ball. DU Got fouled with less than 30 seconds. DU misses the back end of a 1 and 1 which should have sealed the game if both FT's made..

Colt comes down and drains a 3 to tie with 8 seconds left.

DU settles for quick jump shot, instead of trying to work inside to draw foul, and misses.

    Now OT.

If Bulldogs end up losing, on principal, THE PENNY will never ever pick DU again (unless of course that is what the coin flip dictates)...

Only two Pick Em posters picked DU over UE.... THE PENNY and Braveman..

Not for long. Unless today's loss inspires Bradley to pull off the upset over the Redbirds this week (which in this case would make it a beneficial loss since I don't think we have much of a chance for a win in Normal), look for us to sink to 7th place or worse Wednesday night. I still think we will upset CU and/or InSt at home, but we need this game big time on Wednesday!

We really needed Drake to finish this one. Evansville has a brutal schedule the rest of the way, but we now must make up 2 games on them to finish ahead of them. Unless we pull the upset Wednesday, ISU will also finish ahead of us. Even finishing 9-9 now may not be good enough to avoid Thursday unless Evansville loses 4 of their final 5, which is certainly possible (and they could lose all 5 unless they show more than they did tonight).
