If anyone expected Illinois to come out strong after their big upset of Indiana last Thursday, they were wrong. Illinois did not score a basket until almost 10 minutes into the first half, and they are now down 20-10 with 7:21 left in the half. Illinois is just 3-13 from the field, and 0-4 from three, and they have been outrebounded by Minnesota 13-6 so far.

The first 10 minutes were all Minnesota, but then Illinois woke up and made a surge with 5 threes to take the lead 31-30 at halftime.

Another win against a ranked team for the Illini. I really like John Groce's attitude, and how he coaches. Both he and Geno keep things positive, and you never hear a "whoa is me" from either of them.
