What would present the best situation for BU to make it to the Arch Madness Championship game?

My thoughts:

#1 seed Indy-Blue
#4/5 seed BU
#4/5 seed Evansville or Missouri St.

I think Indiana St. is very beatable and that we match up fairly well with them. Get Odum out of sync and this team is beatable as a #1 seed.

I don't see us beating WSU or Creighton on a neutral court, especially with each team's depth and size.

Guess I'm rooting for BU to continue to play well and get to 9-9, and for the Sycamores to snag that #1 seed.

Sounds good to me! I agree with you. We matchup horribly with WSU in my opinion. I want no part of them. I think we can beat CU here in Peoria but on a neutral floor I don't like our chances. At this point though, as we've seen, any team can beat anyone on any given day. It's going to be an exciting race down the stretch with BU right in the thick of things. BU has a very realistic chance to finish fourth. And considering where this team was the last 2 years, that is so exciting to me. I remember when we used to complain about the 4/5 game. Well, pretty soon we'll be competing for championships so this year that would be awesome. With a CBI berth as well. GO BU!

BU needs first and foremost to avoid the play in round, but it's also important to avoid the 6/3 game because either CU, WSU and ISU Blue will be that 3 seed. Then you're looking at a likely gauntlet of #3 ISU Blue on Friday, #2 WSU on Saturday, and #1 CU on Sunday.

Get the 4 or 5 seed, and play UNI or (likely) Eville in the first round. At least then, you're only playing at most 2 of the big 3. Need to beat UNI on Sunday and keep them behind us by playing even with them the rest of the way.

IF all home teams win this weekend, there will be just a little more separation between 4-9 and Bradley would be 2 games out of Thursday with 5 games left to play.
