a few more notes from the weekly release...
MVC is 8-15 against teams from BCS conferences
Wins vs. Wisconsin, Miami, DePaul, Iowa, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Arizona State, Cal
MVC is 1-12 against Top 25 ranked teams..
the only win was vs. #24 Wisconsin
MVC is 50-11 against non-conference opponents at home, and 25-31 away from home
The current total of 75 non-conference wins is 15 fewer than the total the Valley earned 2007 & 2010...
Even if the Valley goes 10-0 in BracketBusters, then we'd end with 85 total wins - and only twice since 2006 have we won any fewer.
a few other Bradley items in the weekly MVC release...
"Bradley guards Dyricus Simms-Edwards (78 ) and Walt Lemon Jr. (58 ) have
combined for 136 steals. The league record for combined steals by
teammates is 155, set by Paul Pressey (96) and Mike Anderson (59) of Tulsa
during the 1980-81 season."
"Since 1996-97, only four players in the NCAA have made 200 or more career treys with fewer than 10 games started.
It is believed Ethan Wragge is the only MVC player with 200+ treys and fewer than 10 starts ..
(one of the others is...) Patrick Beilein, West Virginia (242 3FG, 128 games, 2 starts), 2002-06.."
"With 4,061 total minutes, Colt Ryan ranks No. 10 in MVC history for minutes played. Hersey Hawkins of Bradley holds the league's record with 4,731 minutes."
