What's everyone's opinion on accepting a bid to the CIT or CBI this year? I didn't even thing BU would be ready to take on an EIEIO tourney this year, but I would gladly take a spot because our younger players would really benefit from the experience.

EIEIO Tourney
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!Tags: None

I don't see a purpose for this team because it really is not that young. There are 7 upperclassmen on the team, 6 of which are the main contributors. The only reason would be to give the seniors one last hurrah in front of the hometown fans. I would imagine any Cit/CBI tourney would feature home games at the colosseum.
Next year with Grier and Fields eligible along with Tucker, Zevevic, and others added on might be more worthwhile. I seem to remember a trip being planned prior to next season which would be a great idea IMO.

Accept it !!!
I still don't think we will be offered. But I would be 100% behind going if offered. It would be a reward for DSE and Will and Jake. It would show we are making progress. It would give the returning players more practice time. We may lose money if we have a home game. I doubt we would sell a huge amount of tickets. I think it would be a amazing accomplishment for this years team though.
And yes to acknowledge what I know is coming. I was really close to thinking it was a bad idea the last time we went. I just think we are in a different circumstance now.

My feelings about these two tournaments are directly related to the direction of the program. They should never be used to pad win totals for teams with arrows pointing down. However, if a team has overachieved, then I like the idea of using it as a reward.

My feelings stand. I have no problem with any EIEIO tournament, any year we qualify for it, no matter what the direction the team is going. That said, obviously that is not our goal, and we should not be satisfied with it just to make the postseason. But if that's the best we do in a particular season, more games gives the young players experience, and the outgoing players a chance for an encore in front of the fans (assuming we get home games).
