    At his current pace, Doug McDermott could overtake Hersey Hawkins and finish among the top 5 career scorers in NCAA history.


    That Omaha World Herald writer seems to think Doug will jump to the NBA after this season, though.

    I have a good source that says Doug is almost as good as gone after this season. The reason is that they do not see his draft value increasing if he plays another year.

      he should actually just quit school now, start working every day with a personal trainer, and then come June he could be a lottery pick

          That's the problem. They do not see him as a lottery pick and at best a mid first round pick. Staying another year will not help his stock.
