Originally posted by Bravesfan View PostWell, a lot of national and local pundits, and many posters here had Illinois State as the second place team in the preseason polls due to all the players coming back. If this is an average team, they are going to lose a lot of players to graduation next year. I think the talent is not the problem there. There is a chemistry issue and an inexperienced head coach. A coach that I think has the potential to be very good, but he needed to get his feet wet this year. Unfortunately that may have hurt their chances for any meaningful postseason this year.???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Slightly off topic but you guys do realize how some of your actions here (post deletions, labeling good fans as anti-les, etc.) could actually have made JL a more polarizing figure than he would have been otherwise? This still holds true IMO[/QUOTE]
I agree.....

Considering some here have actually been blamed for losing games, the underachieving of players, and the decline of Bradley basketball, I am not surprised by this ridiculous post.
Some might say this....do you realize the lack of support for the previous coaching staff by some so-called fans is actually responsible for the worst season in the history of Bradley basketball.

I have seen some ridiculous posts on many ridiculous places, but this one takes the cake. This is more absurd than the argument that BU players shoot poorly at the Civic Center because they don't practice there.
How exactly are these "so-called fans" responsible for recruiting misses, late game technicals, poor game planning, and the infamous injuries?
I hope this was tongue in cheek..

the losses, the blowouts, the strikingly small and disappointing crowds, etc...
this is NOT what Bradley basketball is historically all about -- we all want to see better...
but we should not ignore what got us here.........and it wasn't the fans - so it stumps me that we see fans blaming other fans for supporting the team!

Why can't my favorite sports teams fans (Bradley basketball and Green Bay Packers) just let things go?
I'm not sure if I'm more sick of the endless Favre/Rodgers comparisons or people still bitter over JL being let go. Change is inevitable, deal with it folks. All the coulda, woulda, shoulda's are just a waste of keystrokes or breath.
