A big THANK YOU to the Braves for the win last night! I talked very briefly with Will after the game and it was apparent that all the seniors were very fired up with this win. Congratulations to the players and the staff!

Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

My buddy out here from Lexington is an ISU fan, but a good guy, is in the foursome ahead of me. Thanks Braves and Geno.
and I'm suppose to be in Phoenix in ten days too......not sure if I'm going now though

If anything your over the top attitude on this subject has driven people to hate the name Jim Les but not the man himself. Please tell me a part of you understands this.
I guess that speaks louder to me than your guess that you think people didn't hate him
I know it's juvenile & irrational but then so are people who hate others on message boards just cuz they disagree

but we still need to beat someone at home that's ahead of us in the standings so we can keep moving up!
I don't know if this is the year we beat Creighton or Indiana State at home (Evansville looks more managable). But I'm sure we will give it our best shot against both of them!

but I have yet to see even one person openly say or root for Geno to be gone or want to see him lose....
I fully support the team and coaches and I am there cheering as loudly as anyone for their success.....
but the hurdles they have had to overcome to get where we are have been substantial..I applaud the guys for overcoming them....
If there's a concern still even about last night's big win - it's the lack of any consistent bench production...
Only Will Egolf gave us much of anything off the bench - and he's actually usually a starter.
ISU came in with Ekey & Zeisloft who hit 5 of 9 3-pt attempts and gave them 17 pts/4 rebs...
We need to find that production - it doesn't get any easier - now we have few games left
against the teams below us, and they're almost all going to be way tougher and on the road..."How do you go from where you are to where you want to be? I think you have to have an enthusiasm for life. You have to have a dream, a goal, and you have to be willing to work for it." - Jim Valvano

Where they saw the game differently made me giggle a bit..
-first they never really seem to give credit to BU - only that ISU "fell apart" and lost the game by playing poorly..they even go so far as say it wasn't like BU did anything different in the 2nd half - seriously!
-and also they kinda make the point that Muller's good and righteous coaching moves resulted in the loss....check it out - LINK

Probably one of the weirdest games I've seen in a long time at Carver. They couldn't miss from 3-point land, we were dominant in the paint and getting steals. The refs made some cringe-worthy bad and/or odd calls and BU comes from way back to beat ISU for the first time in years!
Great game to watch, well at least after the first 10-12 minutes.
This team is actually very incredible when you think about what they are accomplishing. I give credit to everyone involved. Keep moving forward BU!
Otherwise, it still was a great game.

And the soda my boss is going to have to buy me today because BU won will be the icing on the cake.

Thank you, BU. . .
I agree. That was a great birthday gift for both of us!
