Muller is not a very good coach.

The condensation thing is dangerous. But it's not an advantage to either team.

Great W for BU. Great second half adjustments. Great game from Walt. The crowd was very impressive.

The attendance is what it is. Just means 2000 or so missed a really good game.

Chico - the promotions were all during TV timeouts. When ISU took time, the band fired up and the cheerleaders came out.

Quite the opposite. I'm not the one going out of the way to point out every little negative.

We lose and some talk how were not improved, we win and we complain no fans show up and that our halftime shows are sub par.

They sure had no problem at the start, did not see players falling down so have some cheese with your wine.
You lost because we outplayed you simple as that.

        • Getting back to attendance, most teams in the country would be ecstatic to have 9,000 plus fans attend their games especially after the fact we have not played well for a no. of years and were predicted to finish 9th plus we just came off of 2 last place finishes, I know the weather kept some fans away but for the ones that chose not to attend they missed out on a really fun game as the place was electric.

          • Wasn't it Phillip Gilbert who injured his knee in a similar situation however many years ago it was... slipping on the floor?

You're right. It was Hill's T and Muller "making an example of him" that cost you the game. Not Bradley's suffocating defense costing the birds to play scared or Bradley's 55 second half points.

Leave it to the ISU guys to drum up theories about a slippery court and make excuses for a loss. Good luck on Thursday night.

I acknowledge it may extremely tough to get fans back - since there are so many other things to compete against for the fans' dime...

ISU started the season with hype, and picked at the top of the Valley - yet their attendance early when they WERE winning (4900 against a couple early home opponents and only 5500 against Indiana State last week) is little different than what they were drawing 2010-2011 when they lost 19 games.

Likewise Indiana State is THE surprise team in the Valley - they're right behind Wichita literally a chance to finish 1st or 2nd - and yet their home crowds of 5000-6000 are still way down from a couple years ago.

Hey - even Wichita has only SOLD OUT three of their 13 home games this year!!
Back in 2006, they sold out every single game from Thanksgiving on...

Even Creighton - who you'd think would be up a thousand over last year - are only up about 200 in average home attendance in the best season they've had in a generation. (and that's 2000 below capacity of 18,600)

Yeah....Bradley fans should be the ones that are embarrassed today.

                      Nice defense!

I'd have to believe no one at BU is embarrassed about the floor but a few of us fans do believe they should fix the situation. It has been like this from day one.

Now on the loss. BU just out played ISU. BU just wanted the win more. What it came down to is that ISU wilted under the pressure. Sure Carmichael did not get the touches he should have but that was due to the defensive pressure our guards were putting on the entry pass. I do have to say that Mueller can draw up plays after TOs. How many buckets did ISU get after a TO?

                        • Every basketball floor in the country that has a hockey ice surface below it has this same problem. It is nothing unique. When humidity rises, and the floor is cool, condensation will inevitable form. I think the Arena people do as good a job as possible preventing it. I have seen arenas where it is much worse. And it is not an issue that favors any team.

It might be nice if we could take taxpayer's money and build a new arena dedicated to basketball, but that isn't going to happen.

Well DM holding out our starting PG to "discipline" him likely DID cost us the game. Bradley's defense certainly had alot to do with that. But the 11 mins that Hill played, he had 6 pts, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 turnover. The 31 mins that Keane and Cousin played, they had a combined for 9 turnovers and 0points.

                            It's not an excuse, it's a reason.

You think you would have won if you started PG was benched for the final 36 mins of the game?

And for 2nd time, I never said the slippery court had anything to do with costing us the game, just that it was dangerous and I'd be embarrassed.

Oh- and in regards to "good luck on Thursday", if you think you are out of the woods on the Thursday game, you are crazy. So either "good luck to you" or "see ya there".

I am embarrassed losing to a team like Bradley- same as I was losing to MSU and Drake... none of which are good teams.

What exactly does that say about the team that seems to lose to all the bad teams?
