  • it was the kind of game every Bradley fan and every CBB fan would enjoy - keep it up Braves!!

    • I'd prefer BU go after the best players we can get, not just kids who are from the area. I can think of a few guys who we've been jaded into thinking they're much better than they really are simply because they're local.

      • Maybe attendance had something to do with losing 7 straight to ISU? Other schools our size would kill to have 9000 fans show up after 3 and a half years (not 1 and a half) of bad basketball

        • but ISU had won 7 straight and their fans were almost non-existent last night...they usually bring several hundred!
...so I think it was more the general decline in the enthusiasm of the fan bases of both schools based on the generally poor performances since their coaching changeovers...
...they have LOST fans and have yet to get them back...

I noticed that too. ISU fans were in small pockets and were never really an annoyance at all. It wasn't much different than any other game this year.

I felt like turning away because it was like a slam on BU, but couldn't help but watch because it was pretty nice.

and in our case, poor performances before the changeover. The casual fan doesnt care about coaching and injuries. All they know is winning and we are now to the point where seniors have never experienced a winning environment. That goes back longer than the changeover.

                  Happy Birthday Dub!

Happy for all the guys who have worked through adversity and hard times.
I thought the toughness of 4 guys in particular was the difference in the game...especially their toughness down the stretch in taking it to 'em even with the lead!

                  DSE, TP, JE, WL

I can't underestimate what Jack means to this team. He played his guts out last night and made some key shots, starting with his 17 footer from the baseline to stop the bleeding of an ISU mini-run. That got us going again, and then that 3-ball to go ahead sent the place into a frenzy! The he hits 2 big free throws down the stretch, which he normally doesn't do.

I think the other 3 guys mentioned above we all recognize how tough they were and clutch down the stretch.

I was thinking at halftime that TP has been a disappointment since that first big game of his, and he is not good enough for the Valley. I feel a bit differently after the 2nd half, though his fouls are so blatant and he throws up his hands every time wondering why they were called.

I was asking a question. Great use of "..." to spin that quote how you wanted it to look.

Also- the court was in awful condition. Lucky no one got hurt. Brown nearly pulled a groin slipping in the corner and defenders were sliding everywhere. I'd be embarrassed

Stir, stir. Can't just be happy with a win over our arch rival I guess.

Yea yea. Slippery floor, the sun was in their eyes, the wind was blowing, their shoes were untied. Excuses excuses. Bradley players played on the same floor in case you didn't notice.

                        • Loved the come back. We were pretty lucky IMO to be down only by 9 at the half. GF made a few 2nd half adjustments that made a difference but the biggest difference was the focus on D (more energized) and going inside for points. We jacked up way to many 3's in the 1st half. It's nice to beat the dead birds and its even nicer to see the team growing and getting better throughout the season.

Not so much really. Last I checked, we were on the winning side last night.

Never ONCE said it cost us the game... Johnny Hill getting a T and DM making an example of him cost us the game... I am just saying I'd be embarrassed if my home court was as dangerous a yours...

Need to check, but in both those games, we were down double digits and about 8 at the half, and then exploded in 2nd half, looking like a hungry and completely different team. And I think we scored around 50 too in both games.
We pretty much doubled the 1st half point totals in all 3 games, which have probably been the best 3 home wins over the last 4 seasons. In 2010-'11, we had a couple memorable wins too...vs. CU (the blizzard game), and senior night vs. DU (AW scores career high in last game in Carver)
