  • Final- Illinois State 77 Bradley 83

Illinois State is starting to heat up a bit, ISU is coming into Peoria on a three game Valley winning streak. Over their last three games they have defeated Southern IL on the road and Indiana St. and Evansville at home.

While Bradley returns to the friendly confines of Carver Arena. The Braves are 3-1 in the Valley this season at home.

Let's go Braves, a win Tuesday against the Redbirds would be a great way to start the second half of the Valley season.

    Huuuuuuuge game.

Possibly the biggest of Geno Ford's tenure at Bradley.

Go Braves! Please win this one.

I agree. As I just stated on another thread, #15 New Mexico was held to an even "worse than us" 34 points against San Diego State last night in a 55-34 loss. Now no one is mistaking us for an NCAA Tournament team, but New Mexico is a legitimate Sweet Sixteen contender. In other words, they will probably win their next game. We have come back from bad road games before, and we can do it again this Tuesday against ISU. If we do lose by a significant margin though, I will be very concerned. But I think this game will at the very least be close to the end, and hopefully we come out with a well needed win.

Must win period if BU wants any chance at not playing on Thurs. night in ST.Louis.

Right. If we can catch teams like Indiana St., Evansville and ISU red on bad nights, and/or play up to our potential, we can beat these teams at home, at least hopefully a couple of them.

No excuses. No building for next year. Find a way to get it done.

The way I see next year Rusty is this team has the capability of winning 18 or 19 games....or as few as 9 or 10. The 18 or 19 win scenerio will not only be possible if our backcourt is improved as most people will believe it will be, but also contingent on Geno finding an impact big that can contribute right away, and maybe on a front court that play above their abilities as that will still be a problem next year. The 9 or 10 win scenerio will take place if it takes a long time for all the new pieces to gel, along with this team missing DSE and JE. I'm hoping for the first scenerio, but realistically there maybe some bumps along the way next year.

It's time we beat them. If Will doesn't play if will be a lot tougher but we got to get it done. It sucks I won't be in person to see it like normal but I'll be in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery. Cancer Doc says it's just in one spot and I should be fine. Hopefully I won't miss too many games and will be back on the boards in no time.

It sure would be nice to beat ISU. On the Wichita State post-game show Geno mentioned that three of his seniors have never beaten ISU. Those three would be JE, DSE, and MK. In '07/'08 WE was on the team but didn't play any minutes in the win that year.

I suspect our seniors will be up for this game. Make it happen boys.

That's great news bigjimmy! Glad they caught it early and that it's isolated in one spot. Hope everything healthwise is taken care of first and foremost, then you can get back to rooting for the Braves. Let's hope they can get that win on Tuesday! Best of luck to you as well.

When is the last time the two teams didn't meet until the 2nd half of the Valley season......and were both below .500 in conference play?
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
