I think it is time we all come clean and admit our true feelings towards our basketball program and administration after the events of the past few years.

Ok, I'll bite first...This is university wide...My thoughts are.....
The new administration faces significant challenges (some created by themselves) that they are prioritizing for corrective action. Unfortunately, their resolution decisions don't come as quick as the corporate world. I have mentioned to some that they are at the lower end between the corporate decision timeframe and the religious board decision making timeframe. This is frustrating....
From outdated residence halls (for this generation) to a delayed Convergence Center, the University, including its Athletic Administration, MUST NOT BE SHY or TRY TO SAVE ITS NUTS FOR WINTER given lower revenues and unmet enrollment goals. GOING INTO YOUR TURTLE SHELL IS NOT ALWAYS THE BEST MOVE.
The best time to develop new majors/fields of study, buildings, athletic facilities, and sports programs/conference affiliations is during tougher economic times (as long as your endowment is acceptable and a cost benefit review looks acceptable). You get a competitive edge on public entities that are significantly suffering and must discard their programs. You get cheaper professors/building costs/land acquisition costs/and students from these new programs. You buy low and potentially sell high!
Build the Convergence Center. Develop new Business Majors. Plan and Build the Law Center. Develop the Soccer Campus for Coach DeRose / Athletic-Dome Practice Facility for your sports. Seek Your Best Conference Affiliation. Acquire Adjoining Properties for Future Expansion. Complete a Cost Benefit Analysis for Women's Soccer and Men's/Women's Lacrosse. Update the Residence Facilities.
Just some thoughts.....And, I'm not shy.......

Hey FWO we voted the same! That is closest to my true feelings. I will hold the administration accountable if we are not competing for a MVC title in year 4 and for any reason we are relegated to an inferior conference. My feelings have nothing to do with GF. He appears to be a personable guy. We'll see how good of a recruiter he is which is 1/2 of the challenge in college hoops."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

My passion is Bradley basketball and I support the players, past players, & coaches unconditionally (except, as I have said, the traitors)..
I really don't follow what's going on in most other sports, nor the English Department or elsewhere - so if there are message boards for them - I don't go there.

Love basketball and have followed BU since I was taken to a game, when I was a Cub Scout, many many years ago...
Not a BU grad, and don't really care too much about the politics of the school and the Admin...
Good friend of Coach Mo, so that exit hurt...GO COACH MO!
Got along with JL and supported him and still do...didn't want him fired, but it happened and I am over it...
Have not met Geno, but like his style and am looking forward to seeing how well he recruits to BU...Peoria Toyota Scion

I love the idea of Bradley putting together a mens (and women's) lacrosse team. There are very few programs in the country, and most of those are east coast schools. I think BU has a great opportunity to jump onto lacrosse especially with the future of football so wishywashy.
Building the dome over by Shea is key to the success of a lot of programs. Hopefully BU can get that done.

I am not voting because I am in between votes. I would choose between
*I support everyone. Sincerely 100%. I have no qualms about the past. I liked JL, but got over it.
*I support Geno, the players, and the admins 100%. I hated JL and loved seeing GF hired.
I liked Jim Les, wanted him to get another shot, but I was very ready to try someone else (Geno). I had nothing to get over. I do like listening to Geno's easy going post games. I hope we can load up on talent and get back to the NCAA tourney.
Edit: I think Lacrosse could work also. It would be a good compliment to soccer.

I agree with a lot of the statements of Stevebu91, except Bradley does not need a law school. If you have read the Wall Street Journal, you will see how many graduates from law schools are having a hard time finding work. Even established law firms are eliminating positions, including partners. I know many fine lawyers and judges, but we need our country and Bradley to educate more engineers and science majors. This will help raise our standard of living in the future and I hope Bradley builds the Convergence Center in the near future.

I was a JL fan and wanted him to get one more year. At the same time I understood why he was let go so I don't hold it against the administration. He is gone so I don't look back.
Geno is our coach now and I love him. I think he will take us places JL wasn't going to take us. Once Geno gets us there he probably moves on. JL would most likely have stayed for his whole career.
Don't look back, you can never look back. Who sang that AZ BU Fan? Don Henley?
