I get the idea that some people are fully satisfied because "we are improved in our conference record"...
I root for our team to win every game and I want to compete to be the guys at the top of the league...
If we end up 5th, or say...6th or 7th...are people saying they're ecstatic because we were in the basement last year and we were picked last or next to last this year?
Not me - I firmly believe we have the talent and ability to compete for at least 4th or 5th and I want even better...

1. There is a difference between rooting for BU to win every game and expecting them to win every game. I think every person that takes the time to post here roots for BU to win every game. I think most rational folks understand that they will not win every game, and, more years than not, lose multiple games.
2. I agree. I want BU to win the MVC. It has been how long? It is time to be consistently contending for MVC titles. I think the year after next is my realistic time frame for that.
3. I don't believe that there is the top end talent nor the depth on this team to contend for the top of the MVC. I think for this team to compete for the MVC title, Walt would have to be your #2 or #3 guy. Also the #4-8 would have to provide quite a bit more when compared to WSU or CU. Guys like Jake ideally wind up filling your Milos role.
Although I really don't understand why it is a bad thing to be one of the most improved teams in the country. Baby steps.

How is that aiming low? That doesn't make sense. If BU wins the MVC title next year (for the first time in a long while), they would be listed again **** near at the top of the list. The year after that, probably not.
I just don't see how you can spin this into a negative thing. The past has happened, and there is no way to change last seasons record.

It just seems like it would be more intelligent for fans and the cheerleaders at the newspaper to wait until we are actually back to where we were before we start celebrating how much better we are.
102 wins in 5 years before the injury year, and a memorable Sweet 16 season.
I know you are ecstatic to be rid of Jim Les, but we are a long way from where we can celebrate.

102 wins out of how many games in those 5 seasons? Also, in which of those 5 seasons did Bradley get closer to winning an MVC championship. The goal is either to be great or good enough. Clearly, some folks were ok with good enough, because to your point, Jim arguably did a good enough job. Others (like me) were not. When in 9 years you never finish higher than 4th place, it's tough to argue that the program was moving toward winning championships. That's really all it is. For most, I don't think it's anything more malicious.
On a side note, in total disclosure, I had a personal encounter with Jim that left a bad taste in my mouth and made me think less of him as a person, but in no way did it effect my feelings toward the job he was doing. As a matter of fact, I admired him greatly as a player at Bradley.
