ST. LOUIS ? Bradley junior point guard Walt Lemon, Jr. has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week for his performance in a pair of victories last week.
The video is our version with Dave Snell on the call and not the KY3 TV feed that was on ESPN. BTW, I did offer our version to ESPN, but they declined since they already had the KY3 version from the telecast.

Yes, first time. Walt also will be Skype-ing an interview for the ESPN late-night talk show UNITE this evening. According to my listings, the show will air on ESPNU at 2 a.m. tonight, but will re-air on ESPNU from 6-9 a.m., though the producer tells me it will air at 11 p.m. CT tonight.
I'd love a link to the interview if at all possible!
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!
I'd love a link to the interview if at all possible!
Bobby Parker says he has a recording of Walt's interview on ESPN Unite...
so hopefully he can find a way to post a link... "Modern technology is crazy. Just recorded Walt Lemon Jr's interview
for @UNITE in my office on a tiny webcam"
Some more telling MVC stats that show that Walt is deserving of being considered as Valley 1st team:
5th in Scoring @ 16.9 ppg
5th in Assists @ 4.3 pg
5th in FT % @ 80%!
2nd in Steals
I still think BU needs to reach 8 wins to merit consideration, and Walt needs to continue his solid play for the 2nd half of the Valley season. But I think Odum will make it ahead of Walt if they go by record and the fact that Odum was on the preseason All-Valley team, and they seem to love him.
