  • Patrick O'Bryant gets some playing time

Patrick had only appeared in 5 games this season (out of 17) and had only scored 2 points and had 3 rebounds in his very limited playing time so far.
But tonight the Golden State Warriors were geting blown out early at San Antonio, and POB got his longest playing time as the starters got the 4th quarter off.
He played 12 minutes, and did well. He scored 5 points on 2-4 shooting and 1-2 FTs, and had 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and a steal. Nice line for POB.
The Warriors lost 129-89 to the Spurs.

Better to get some play during garbage time than none at all. That's how you learn.

I'm sure he'll take solace in POB's ill-advised cross-court pass that was stolen and led to an easy Spur basket. That's one way to make the SportsCenter highlights.

"Either way", I'm sure he appreciates your concern.

I'm as happy as the rest of you to see Patrick get some playing time. When it's not because of a rout, I'll be happier.

Looks like he's getting the "ROOKIE CALLS"........4 fouls in 13 minutes?

I guess this is stupid to say, but when I see these threads about POB, I really could care less about how he's doing. Does anyone else feel this way? Sorry just how i feel.

I think I would care more if he got decent playing time and was a contributer to the team.

No, POB. I've always followed the Bradley players after they leave with the same curiosity and enthusiasm that, I think, a father would have for his son after he leaves the house to become a man. You always hope they will succeed and bring pride to your name. In this case, Bradley University

I feel the same way POB. If he played in all 19 games, instead of 7 of the 19, I might feel different. He could have played in every game for the Braves and not be a mop up player.

Once a Brave always a Brave

Come on guys. He got a few million a year at the age of 19-20. How many of us would have turned that down to go back to school ? I think he would have become a better player but I cannot blame him-too much risk that there would be a stronger draft in coming years and too much risk of getting hurt or not getting the publicity he received at the end of last year.

For Bradley's sake I wish he would have stayed but I will always cheer for him just like I'll always cheer for AP and every other Bradley player (except for Danny Granger).

I will always root for an ex-Brave, with the exeption of Granger of course, when he is playing in the NBA. But I have to think POB had to know he wasn't ready yet so he should have stayed another year.
