-U of I was 23rd ranked and was heavily favored but got beaten badly by Northwestern who was coming off a blowout loss of their own at Iowa.

Actually Northwestern was blown out by Iowa in Evanston, as I was at that game. Maybe I should start following Northwestern on the road!

I didn't know that ref had tossed Groce out. I thought he just got t'd as I was watching that game. Did not know he ejected a member of the Orange Crush either. Maybe he should just concentrate on the game instead of ejecting people in the crowd, though I guess that is their right to do that.

This same UIC team outscored 5-14 Wisconsin-Milwaukee tonight in the 2nd half 35-8! This after UWM outscored UIC 42-25 in the 1st half. UIC won 60-50.

Wow! Talk about the UWM offense just not giving a care! There's a reason why they are now 5-14. They even made a team in a big slump like UIC look like a top 25 team in the second half.

Butler lost to LaSalle - only scoring 53 - maybe the A-10 is a little too strong for them??

Yeah, but UWM scored 42 points in the 1st half! How do you go from 42 pts to 8 pts in one half?! Something is not right with them or obviously they would not be 5-14 right now.

Regarding LaSalle, they actually are 13-5, and 3-2 in the A-10, now just one game behind Butler in the standings. I don't know who they beat in the non-conference portion of their schedule, but LaSalle is obviously much improved this year, at least so far. I also read on ESPN.com that LaSalle was actually a 2.5 favorite tonight! Maybe an injury issue for Butler, or LaSalle is actually a pretty decent team.

Other than overcoming a 17 point halftime deficit to win by 10, and UIC outscoring UW-M 35-8 in the 2nd half, one other note of interest was that UW-M's leading scorer was Paris Gulley again with 14 points.

Paris Gulley is UW-M's leading scorer on the year, averaging 15.6 ppg. In fact, their top 3 scorers are all juco transfers. Their 2nd leading scorer, Jordan Aaron, was Paris Gulley's teammate at Southeastern CC in Iowa-

Kudos to Paris Gulley who has turned himself into a pretty decent D-I player - leading UWM in almost every game..
