With Will back, I think a realistic goal is 6th place, staying out of Thursday night. We can leapfrog MO State.

A stretch goal that I still think is doable, but doubtful, is to play in the 4-5 game. And yes, I saw the game today.

And I would be giddy if we could find ourselves playing Saturday in STL.

Hopefully in a season or two our goals for the team will be much loftier. But let's beat SIU on Tuesday, and continue moving onward and upward.

Agreed, BUS. We need to at least play up to our potential every game. We saw what this team is capable of in the Virginia Tech, Michigan, and WSU games, even though those were losses. We need to play that well all the time.

I do not mean to be "Debbie Downer", but this team was picked to finish 9 for good reasons. They include a lack of shooters, no real point guard, weak fowards and centers, and no bench. I still support this team, but I feel we are definitely playing on Thursday in St Louis and are at least two years away from being respectable in the Valley.

What exactly were the reasons isu was picked to finish 2nd? Because they finished last season 9-9, have a first-time head coach, AND lost their starting point guard?

The "experts" didn't seem to know what they were talking about with that team. Not sure why you feel the predicted 9th place finish for Bradley was so accurate.

I don't think we should be "at least two years away". Next year's roster will be comprised almost entirely of Geno's recruits. He was brought in to turn this program around and I certainly hope it doesn't take until year 4 or 5 just to get back to "respectable".
