  • Remaining games- what will happen

We are now past the halfway point of the season with an overall record of 10-6, and 2-2 in the first 4 MVC games.
But the non-conference Strength of Schedule has been the weakest in memory, and the MVC schedule has been frontloaded with the weaker opponents in the early part of the schedule.
What will Bradley do over the next 14 MVC games?
here is the rest of the MVC schedule-

Sat, Jan 12 at Northern Iowa
    Tue, Jan 15 Southern Ill.
    Sat, Jan 19 Missouri St.
    Wed, Jan 23 at Evansville
Sat, Jan 26 at Wichita St.
    Tue, Jan 29 Illinois St.
    Sat, Feb 2 at Creighton
    Tue, Feb 5 Evansville
    Sun, Feb 10 Northern Iowa
Wed, Feb 13 at Illinois St.
    Sat, Feb 16 Indiana St.
    Wed, Feb 20 at Drake
    Wed, Feb 27 Creighton
Sat, Mar 2 at Missouri St.

We will have a tough time winning at UNI, but then I think we will win our next 2 home games against SIU and MSU, But after that, the schedule gets a lot tougher. I don't see another likely winnable road game until the last 2 road games at Drake and MSU. We should win a few more home games, but after the SIU and MSU games come ILSU, Evansville, UNI, INSU, and Creighton. What games are winnable?

I think we could go 8-6 and possibly 9-5 if we play like we did against wsu

I think we win 5 or 6 more games....just way too much inconsistency on Offense to compete on a regular basis! Not deep enough to sustain the paint against bigger teams unless WE eventually comes back to settle things down!

That has been my prediction even before the start of the season. I predicted 8-4 in non-conference, and 6-12 or 7-11 in conference. So that means 4-10, or at best 5-9 in the remaining schedule. I wanna be wrong, but nearly every remaining team in the league has more size and depth than we do.

I agree as well. SS is just not ready to play the 4. He looks loss and is being out muscled as well in the paint. The good thing this year is the JC and KB are getting plenty of meaningful minutes. We need depth in order to compete for a 4-6 spot. Can't see WL and DSE playing as many minutes the way they do come February. Last night we saw why NW is not playing much. I was hoping he could steal a few serviceable minutes a game this year.

I'm thinking 5-9 hope I'm wrong but not seeing alot of good things now without WE. Maybe 6-8 or 7-7 with WE.

I would like to think we can still sweep MSU, beat SIU, Evansville and UNI at home, and Drake on the road. I'm hoping we can steal the game against ISU red at home too. That would give us 5 to 6 more wins with 7 to 8 Valley wins overall. About what many thought would we would win.

My gut says 4-10, but my heart says 6-8.

Hate to say it, but I think you're being optimistic on both counts.

My guess is we win 4 or 5 with out Will. If Will comes back we win 6 or 7.

Four would be a little disappointing. Seven would be outstanding.

Sat, Mar 2 at Missouri St. tossup. 1-1 between this and other tossup

and then we punt away a home game I have listed as a W above.

That translates out to 6-8. Let's throw in a BB win, and that makes:

17-14 (8-10) going into the MVCT.

So 8-6. I'm going to throw in a BB loss, to counteract my obvious overconfidence and reckless at ISU win. That makes for 18-13 (10-8 ), 4/5 game in MVCT. Assumes return of Will.
